Development in 2023 of HVita VR, an online platform for training through ECMO simulation scenarios.
The solution allowed users to select the support modality, prepare the scenario and jointly represent the patient, extracorporeal circuit, pump, oxygenator, monitors and other elements required to run the exercise.
During the session, participants could review the ECMO machine parameters, the patient's vital signs and the state of the circuit. The different views supported both general supervision and detailed monitoring of the displays and controls used in the simulation.
The platform comprised separate teacher and student applications, a content management system, an API and a room system for organising shared sessions. The teacher could coordinate the scenario and its progression while participants interacted with the representation of the case.
The project was completed directly for Medical Simulator, covering the full development and programming, with the visual design supplied by the client.
