Development in 2022 of PMIS, a training platform designed to practise clinical decision-making through simulated patient cases.
Before starting each practice session, users could select its difficulty and the condition they wished to study. During the simulation, they had to interact with the patient, request clinical examinations and diagnostic tests, analyse the results and progress towards resolving the case.
The system took account of the time spent, the cost of tests and the decisions made. The final stage presented clinical classification and assessment questions to evaluate the knowledge and reasoning applied during the exercise.
The platform included different training modes, a session history, scores, user rankings and tools for reviewing learning progress.
The project was completed directly for Medical Simulator, covering the full development and programming, with the visual design supplied by the client.
